Dear Marist Families,
It was a pleasure seeing so many of you at Back-to-School Night last week. Parent-Teacher Conferences are a few weeks away and once again, we will be offering both virtual and in-person conferences.
Parent-Teacher Conferences, scheduled for Thursday, October 2nd will take place as follows:

12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Virtual Conferences (over Zoom)

4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. In-Person Conferences at Marist High School
Appointments with faculty members must be made in advance using the online scheduling system, Pick-A-Time. You can sign up for a 5-minute time slot with your child’s teacher(s) or counselor. Please note: all conferences must be pre-registered using this system. Teachers’ schedules will not be able to accommodate unscheduled appointments, and once registration closes, there will be no further opportunities to book.
Instructions for registering for Parent–Teacher Conferences

Registration will open at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, September 22nd and close at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, September 29th.

Registration can be accessed at www.marist.net by clicking the Parent-Teacher Conference banner on the main page.

There will be only one Pick-A-Time link for both the virtual conferences (12–3 p.m.) and the in-person conferences (4:30–7:30 p.m.). (This is different from prior years when there were two links.)

Pick-A-Time will send you either:

A Zoom link if you schedule a virtual conference (12–3 p.m.)

The room number if you schedule an in-person conference (4:30–7:30 p.m.)

Parents can log in using their existing username and password. New users must create a new account. You’ll need two pieces of information to connect to your student in Pick-A-Time:

Your student’s ID # (found in the “Student Profile” in Skyward)
-
Your student’s birthday (format: mm/dd/yyyy)

A confirmation of your scheduled Parent-Teacher Conferences will be sent via email. Save this email, as it contains your Zoom links or room numbers.

If you are unable to attend either option but still wish to meet with your child’s teacher, please contact the teacher directly to schedule a Zoom or phone appointment.
Preparing for conferences
Before your conferences, log into Skyward, click on the Grading tile, and review your student’s grades. Remember: gradebooks are live, so you will see current grades.
This is an important time, not only for you to meet with your student’s teachers, but also for you to discuss your child’s academic performance. We intentionally schedule conferences early in the semester to allow students the opportunity to “turn things around” if needed.
To make the most of the meeting, we recommend that your student attend the conference with you (virtually or in person). These conversations are more effective when students, parents, and teachers are all present.
