Job Description
Marist High School, a Catholic co-ed school located on the southside of Chicago, is currently accepting resumes for a Pre-Calculus Maternity Leave Position.
Minimum Requirements
- Commitment to the Marist Brothers’ principles as set forth in Marist’s mission statement
- Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum Competencies
- Ability to establish and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with students, parents, faculty, and administrators
- Effective collaboration and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Google Docs
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communications Skills
- Strong Organizational Skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams
- Demonstrated ability to plan and organize daily lessons and tasks
Essential Responsibilities
Organize and maintain a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievement, and attendance.
Administer a mathematics curriculum consistent with department goals and objectives.
Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning and progress. Modify instructional methods to address student needs. Conduct individual and small group instruction.
Ensure that student conduct conforms to the school’s standards and policies. Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
Coordinate with other professional staff members, especially within grade level, and participate in faculty meetings and committees.
