Marist High School is proud to announce that seniors Alexander Smith, Moira McKee, and Sean Grobarcik were named Commended Students by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation in Evanston, Ill. Commended Students place among the top 50,000 students who enter the competition. Approximately, 1.5 million high school students enter the program each year.
During her time at Marist, Moira McKee (Most Holy Redeemer) has been involved in Marist Youth, Academic Team, Student Ambassadors, National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, the Math Team and an athlete on the girls’ cross country and track & field teams.
Over the last four years, Alexander Smith (St. Catherine of Alexandria) has been a member of the Math Team, Academic Team, SADD Club, Student Ambassadors, National Honor Society, Italian National Honor Society, and boys’ volleyball team.
During his time at Marist, Sean Grobarcik (St. Christina) has been a member of the Math Team, SADD Club, Student Ambassadors, National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, and Stage Crew.
