RedHawk Ready Summer Courses
Academics
RedHawk Ready
Marist High School will be offering two courses to rising 8th graders this summer. Choosing one of the classes below will earn 1/2 elective credit toward graduation on the Marist transcript. Taking a high school class early can free up academic time during the school year for other classes and allow students to focus on material in the summer with fewer academic obligations in other classes.
Courses Available
The RedHawk Ready courses are available for rising 8th graders. The session will run from June 9 – June 26, Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 11:30 am. Each course has a fee of $350. Please note, there will be no class on June 19. Students are expected to attend every class during the session dates.
Exploration Through Creativity – $350
This hands-on, fun-filled course is designed for students who are eager to explore their creativity and develop new artistic skills. Whether students are beginners or have some experience, this course will help them build confidence in their artistic abilities while experimenting with a variety of mediums and techniques.
Intro to High School English: Thematic Exploration – $350
This engaging summer course blends literature, writing, and interactive activities to help students explore major themes across a variety of texts. While examining short stories and multimedia sources, students will analyze key ideas and express their thoughts through creative and analytical writing. Beyond the classroom, students will participate in fun, hands-on activities designed to introduce them to Marist’s facilities, academic spaces, and school culture.
