Marist’s Guidance Department will host an event for parents featuring Loving Outreach to Survivors of Suicide (LOSS), a division of Catholic Charities, on Wednesday, November 7 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.

Topics covered in the presentation will include bereavement, communicating with kids about suicide, coping with the loss, and available resources and support programs.

The presenters from LOSS will be Deborah Major, department director; Cynthia Waderlow, therapist; and Emily Tegenkamp, program coordinator.

This event is designed specifically for parents. Programming for students and faculty members is being planned. We believe this is an invaluable event for all of our families and hope you will consider attending.
